The Library is a Texas drafting workspace under Documents → Library. It opens as the default Documents tab, with a left rail of sections and counts, search, practice area filtering, and chips for Court-styled and Official forms. Documents → Files keeps the existing upload, preview, download, version, and sharing file manager.
Pick the matter for the document; firm-only documents such as NDAs can skip matter selection.
Fields prefill from the matter, client, assigned attorney, firm profile, and Court & Caption. Prefilled values show a “Prefilled” badge, remain editable, and required fields are enforced.
Edit the merged text before generation. Court-styled documents show the style profile badge, such as Texas trial court · Times 12pt · double-spaced; Reset to template re-merges the draft.
Choose PDF or DOCX, set the document title, and decide whether to save to matter documents. Results open in preview, can be downloaded, and saved files appear on the matter Documents tab and in Documents → Files.
Set Court & Caption from Matter → Edit → Court & Caption. Choose the court type, designation such as “250th Judicial District” or “No. 2”, county, judge, cause number, and case-style parties with labels like Plaintiff, Defendant, Petitioner, and Respondent. Criminal matters default to THE STATE OF TEXAS v. the client.
Court-styled documents print a two-column § caption, centered title, numbered paragraphs, signature block with State Bar number, Rule 21a certificate of service, and, for motions, a proposed order page. Style profiles identify Texas trial, appellate, federal, or other court typography before you generate.
These templates summarize common drafting choices; they are not legal advice and must be reviewed by counsel before use.
The Business Formation & Corporate section includes official Texas Secretary of State forms. Open a card to fill supported fields at /documents/generate/official/<code>; fields that cannot be filled are listed as “Complete by hand after printing”.
Bundled editions are available out of the box, and admin storage uploads override bundled copies so a form edition can be updated without redeploying the app.
Settings → Firm supplies firm name, address, phone, and email for letterhead and signature blocks. The attorney State Bar number comes from the user profile, while client contact details, matter cause numbers, and Court & Caption data come from the selected matter. Use Save to my Templates from any Library card to copy it into firm Templates, or use a matter's Generate document shortcut to start from that matter.
Templates are drafting aids for licensed Texas attorneys. Every generated document carries an attorney-review-required notice, must be reviewed before use, is not legal advice, and is designed for Texas practice only. Signing is by signature lines, not electronic signature.
